Report Summary:

The sixty-five European digital Pay TV providers tracked by Strategy Analytics lost 150,000 subscribers during the third quarter of 2011, largely influenced by Mediaset's seasonal disconnects . Adjusted for Mediaset’s loss of 1.5 million subscribers, tracked firms added just fewer than 1.4 million new subscribers. Pay TV operators in the French market showed the best combined growth, adding 436,000 new subscribers during the quarter.

This interactive database summarizes quarterly subscriber growth trends for over 65 of the Digital Television Operators operating across Europe. In addition to tracking subscribers, and selected financial metrics, the report also provides operator-level subscriber forecasts for 2011. The report also contains a flat file of all data, allowing clients to create customized pivot tables. MMD clients can use this database to analyze subscriber growth from Q1 2007 to Q2 2011 for each company, as well as to sort subscriber data by country and access platform.
