Overall, consumers had 1.36 billion TV and video subscriptions in 2017, this translates to 0.84 TV and video subscription per TV household globally. Of these, the Asia Pacific region accounted for just over half (51%) of all TV and video subscriptions, followed by North America (19%), and Western Europe (11%). By 2022, TV and video subscriptions will grow to 1.80 billion globally, this translates to 1.05 TV and video subscription per TV household globally. As a result of growth in other regions, particularly Latin America and the Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific's share of TV and video subscriptions will fall slightly to 49%, followed by North America (18%), and Western Europe (12%).
