2018 has seen a flourishing of new OTT video services worldwide so far. OTT video services that feature specialized content such as children’s programs, nature, theatre and more have been launched to attract audiences with specific interests. At the same time, established OTT video services have expanded into additional markets, such as Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5, added support for 4K HDR, and virtual reality. Early OTT video services--both mass and niche--continue to expand their content menu and support more devices.
The OTT Video Service Tracker includes a list of 350+ major online video and TV services across the globe. The focus of this tracker is to map each service’s technology partners, territorial coverage, business model, content type, availability of original programming, 4K & VR support, and device compatibility.
