Last year was another year of strong SVOD growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Overall, the region added 16.26M SVOD households in 2019 to reach a total of 81.36M households with one or more SVOD services, up 24.9% YoY. Of this Western Europe accounted for 75% of SVOD households in the region, followed by Central & Eastern Europe (12%), Middle East & North Africa (10%), and Sub Sahara (3%).
