Report Summary:
36% of the total and more than half of the under 35 population in Italy now use internet TV and movie services. The portable computer is the most popular screen in every age group but the TV screen is now used by a third of internet TV users. Smartphones also lead tablets in every age group. The most popular ways to share internet TV content to the TV screen is to connect a PC through an HDMI connection. Samsung smart TVs are clearly the most popular connected TV devices, with games consoles some way behind. This report presents selected data findings from a survey of more than 1000 Italy respondents relating to usage of internet TV services on connected multiscreen devices in Italy. Connected TV device rankings include Xbox360, PS3, Apple TV, Wii, and smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG, Philips and Panasonic.
