Report Summary:

Germany has the lowest usage of internet TV and movie services in our four-country European survey. Desktop PCs are still the preferred screen, followed by portable PCs and connected TVs. The most popular method for accessing internet TV on the TV screen is to connect a computers via HDMI, and unlike some other countries the smart TV is the second most popular option in Germany, ahead of games consoles. Tablet and smartphone usage is growing. The most popular connected TV device in Germany is the Samsung smart TV. This report presents survey data relating to usage of internet TV services on connected multiscreen devices. Connected TV device rankings include Xbox360, PS3, Apple TV, Wii, and smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG and Panasonic.
