The global mobile workforce is set to increase from 1.45 billion in 2016, accounting for 38.8% of the global workforce, to 1.87 billion in 2022, accounting for 42.5% of the global workforce. In overall terms, the workforces in the North America and Western Europe have been aging, along with populations in general and the workforces in most of Asia, the Middle East, and South America are growing and the number of mobile workers in much of Africa is also increasing. Mobile devices and technology, that are better designed to meet the needs of mobile workers of all types and at reasonable price points, will enable a greater number of workers to become mobile.
