Increasing vendor competition will put pressure on Tablet average selling prices (ASPs), but technology trends such as the integration of LTE radios, PC-grade processors, larger displays, 2-in-1 form factors, and more sensitive and higher resolution displays will help vendors defend against price erosion well into future. Microsoft and other Windows Tablet vendors will challenge the position of iOS in the high and premium tiers, mostly in the enterprise, as well as challenging Android in the mid to low tiers as traditional PC vendors and White Box vendors sell increasingly affordable 2-in-1 Tablets running Windows 10. We still expect iOS and Android to hold their positions in their respective corners of the market, but Windows will become a strong competitor through the forecast period.
