North American shipments of Notebook PCs declined by -18% year-over-year to 16.5 million units during Q2 2022. The hybrid work solution and refresh cycle across all businesses delivered stronger revenue results at just -6% during the same period. The Chromebook and consumer sales continued to struggle as the market moved towards pre-pandemic levels. Despite a double digit decline in shipment, the latest generation hardware and innovations across both markets (commercial and consumer) are driving higher ASP as end-users choose the high-end product thinking it will last longer than usual life-cycle.
