SpecTRAX device availability tracking shows that the Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia M4 Aqua have made it into the Top 10 most widely available smartphones of January 2016. This Top 10 is usually dominated by premium handsets from Apple, Samsung, LG & HTC. This is the first time two Sony devices have made it to this level of ranking, and potentially more significant is the fact that Sony’s Xperia M4 Aqua is a mid tier smartphone. LG’s G4 and the HTC M9 were displaced from the top 10 but still placed within the top 20 smartphones.
