Lenovo-Motorola’s global smartphone shipments declined -7% YoY in Q1 2023. Wholesale revenue declined double of shipments (-14% YoY) as wholesale ASP too declined -7% YoY. While the global smartphone market declined in double digits (-14% YoY), Lenovo-Motorola overperformed and declined in single digits. Americas continue to hold the major share for the vendor but Asia Pacific and Western Europe holds a lot of potential and grew in strong double digits annually for Q1 2023. Lenovo group has confirmed to spin off the gaming smartphone business and will focus on Motorola brand in the future for smartphones.
