Global smartphone shipments declined -3% annually in Q1 2016. Most of major countries such as China, UK, Germany, Japan, Brazil and Russia declined annually while emerging countries including India and South Africa saw the annual shipments grow. China experienced a negative annual growth for two quarters in a row. Samsung stayed the no.1 smartphone vendor in 10 major countries, while Apple struggled to keep its power in the US, China and elsewhere.
