Global handset shipments declined by -3% annually in Q4 2017. The new and emerging "Next Forty Five (45)" markets that we track accounted for a quarter f the handset volumes worldwide. Samsung led in 21 out of these 45 countries. Indonesia, Bangladesh and Vietnam were ranked the top three markets in terms of handset shipments in the quarter. The 'Next Forty Five' countries tracked included: Argentina, Algeria, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Ghana, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Switzerland, Sweden, Singapore, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Vietnam.
