Telefónica First to License AT&T's Digital Life

Earlier this month AT&T and Telefónica announced plans for a “limited” trial of AT&T’s Digital Life to test the market for interactive home security services in Europe. Digital Life, a wireless, IP-based platform, provides a turnkey solution for security, automation and energy management services. The two companies are working to tailor the solution, which will be hosted by Telefónica, to the European market. Telefónica, based in Spain with significant operations in Germany and the UK did not reveal where the he trial will be conducted, but said it will begin in the first half of 2015. In an interview for the announcement, AT&T Mobility’s CEO Glenn Lurie said to expect AT&T to do more deals around the globe in the near future.
