Amid a flurry of announcements on September 24, 2020, for new smart home devices from Ring and Echo smart speakers, Amazon’s strategies for how it intends to leverage customer data to strengthen its smart home services business moved into the picture.
While smart home products are and will be important to Amazon, it is clear Amazon is quickly moving services higher up on its list of priorities to capitalize on opportunities from this emerging segment of the smart home market.
