Consumer Electronics device wholesale revenues across the Americas region are forecast to grow by 11% in 2021 to reach $251 billion. This represents an improvement of 20% over our January 2021 forecast of $210 billion. Increased consumer demand for smartphones, mobile computing devices and entertainment products such as game consoles, streaming media players and soundbars has helped to contribute to the positive upturn in overall CE spending. The majority of content consumption is still happening inside the home and CE vendors have done well to largely fulfil orders in spite of the challenges posed by supply constraints and rising logistics costs.
This report forecasts major Consumer Electronics device shipments, installed base, revenues and ASPs across the Americas regions including a breakout for USA, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. The forecasts run from 2012 to 2026 as a total of all devices and those that are IP-enabled. Detailed forecasts are provided for a basket of 19 product categories spanning TV and Video, Computing, Gaming Hardware, Home Audio, Digital Cameras and Smartphones. The report updates the Americas version of the Connected CE Device report published in January 2021.
