Qualcomm pushed hard against the other RF front-end component suppliers, announcing front-end tuning improvements that will leverage the company’s strength in radio chipsets for mobile devices. Despite their early lead in 5G, Qualcomm will have competition in 5G chipsets much sooner than was the case for LTE.
