Advanced human-machine interfaces (HMIs) are increasing in importance in relation to purchase priorities. In light of the growing trend and interest in non-touch gesture HMIs, Strategy Analytics’ In-Vehicle UX service surveyed consumers in the US, Europe, and China to determine consumer interest for in-vehicle gesture HMI and in particular, interest for specific gestures, or those customized by the user themselves. Consumer interest in non-touch gestures was mixed with more pronounced gender differences in the US.
