Report Summary:

This report presents Strategy Analytics’ user evaluation of Mini ConnectedDrive infotainment system. While initially struggling to get used to the joystick controls, participants found the system performed well for music related features. However, due to the complexity of text entry with the joystick, participants were not satisfied with the ease of navigation. Participants were also not impressed by the Facebook and Twitter implementation due to a lack of usefulness and its disappointing text readout capability. The iDrive implementation in the 2015 Mini will not resolve text entry issues though the bookmark feature might allow for better feature discoverability.
