Strategy Analytics conducted an expert review of the Mazda Connect infotainment system. While it starts off with a mostly positive design framework, software bugs were readily apparent in navigation and music. The hardware controller, touchscreen, and speech recognition all work generally well, although the touchscreen is disabled while driving. Positive design elements include a ubiquitous home icon which assists users in error recovery, and the categorization of connected services based on functionality instead of under a separate connectivity menu.
