Strategy Analytics surveyed vehicle owners in the US, Western Europe, and China to investigate their current usage of ride-hailing and car-sharing/car clubs, and the impact of such usage on owners' intent to purchase another vehicle within the next one to five years.  Although novel mobility services are often heralded as the death knell of personal car ownership, usage of these services is often directly related to an increased likelihood of an imminent car buy. These findings lead to many new questions about the best ways to use data from mobility services and the future car buyers who use them.
