As automakers fall over themselves to enter the mobility service market, car-sharing is seen as a low-friction entry point. Peer-to-peer offerings can be even lower-friction, but are not without their own numerous unique challenges for both renters and owners. This report reviews peer-to-peer car-sharing and rental, provides a broad look at the UX of current service offerings, and identifies areas most in need of improvement.
