Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their interest in “self-driving” technology for ride-hailing/taxi services and limited-route buses. Regardless of the mobility service model, interest in the use of automated driving technology for these services is quite low. Sceptical consumers show some of the same concerns as those uninterested in semi-autonomous technology for owned vehicles. However, trust is not the only factor holding these services back.
