Report Summary:

As with previous years, autonomous driving concepts (especially those for Level 4 and 5) were prominent at CES 2017, although UX has clearly taken a back seat in favour of design dreams.  In-car assistants leveraging AI and contextual awareness were also common, though without much differentiation among them.  In-car integration of smart home features is close to reality, with some automakers releasing features as early as this year.  HMI and infotainment-related advances are also discussed.
