This report summarizes technological advances affecting the automotive user experience at 2021's all-virtual edition of CES.

With COVID curtailing travel, many automakers and suppliers focused their visions on the use of the car as a "second home" for a wild variety of entertaining use cases, including gaming and karaoke.  And though many of these use cases have no immediate future beyond very narrow segments, some small pieces within each experience are worthy of further exploration.

And with the continued walk-back of Level 5 robo-taxi visions, some suppliers are wisely refocusing their efforts on ADAS features of more immediate interest to travelers.
