Report Summary:

Strategy Analytics undertook a survey of car owners in the US, China, and Western Europe covering their usage of in-car infotainment, including AM/FM radio, streaming media, and other sources.  Car owners were also asked about their interest in a range of infotainment features for their next car.  After years of dominance traditional radio reached a turning point in 2020, losing a great deal of ground to streaming media, especially in one particular region.  In the wake of the global pandemic, broadcasters, product planners, and UI designers must immediately reconsider how, when, and why listeners consume entertainment and information across platforms.
