Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their usage of in-car infotainment, as well as their interest in infotainment features for their next vehicle.  Usage of and interest in AM/FM radio has resumed its slow and steady decline, and the CD player continues its slow fade.  A showdown for future listenership appears to be setting up between owned and streaming media sources, as well as between embedded and mobile-based solutions.  Regardless of who wins, the resulting trends will have broad implications for future cockpit design.
