Resulting from 10 years of research in Single Photon Avalanche Diode technology, Fastree3D brings its expertise to advance high resolution LiDAR sensors.  Its Flash sensor concept is claimed to be able to adapt pulsed illumination dynamically, simultaneously detect on all pixels of an array the precise time of arrival of reflections and process on-chip, with very low latency, the point-cloud measurements.  This enables a high resolution LiDAR with real-time quality control under adverse illumination and filtering based on target object motion. It could also lead to a simpler sensor design that is scalable to customer requirements and is more cost effective than alternative technologies.
