Mobileye has engaged Strategy Analytics as a partner in the preparation of this report to explore the hypothesis that “TOPs” (Trillions of Operations per Second) is not as useful a metric as it may initially seem in evaluating the performance of an Autonomous Vehicle Compute Platform.  This paper examines the pitfalls in traditional performance benchmarks for AV compute platforms and makes recommendations on best-practices.
