Report Summary:

The outlook for 2020 remains bleak.  Plant shutdowns and collapsing consumer demand, due to the COVID-19 virus crisis, means that light vehicle production in 2020 is now expected to fall by around 20% over 2019 levels.  This is broadly similar to the last update - and thus shows that there are signs that the COVID-19 situation is, perhaps, beginning to stabilize.  ADAS has previously been a very high-growth area – but is now expected to see a 4% decline in 2020.  Growth will return, however, and ADAS content per vehicle will increase at a CAAGR of 13.2% over 2019 to 2024 in dollar terms.  This is thus where the bulk of the growth will come from – and not from vehicle production increases.

This single .zip file download contains the latest ADAS demand forecast Excel file and ADAS Dashboard Excel file as well as a PowerPoint file which summarizes the key forecast messages.  The package includes forecasts at both a system (e.g. LDWS, Blindspot) and sensor (e.g. LiDAR, Camera) level.
