TMT Market Analyst Intern

The primary responsibility of this role will be supporting Research Analysts, Senior Analysts and Research Directors fulfill their need for organized, structured, and easily accessible data points used to answer client inquiry and serve as the foundation for research deliverables and dashboards.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Maintaining research databases of financial, operational and market data e.g. Apple, Samsung, Vodafone, AT&T, Orange, Huawei, Google, Xiaomi, Amazon, Telefonica etc quarterly data
  • Data quality support for analysts excel models
  • Developing infographics and visualizations for social media presence
  • Data collection and data scraping from online sources
  • ad hoc research on promotions/marketing initiatives of device vendors, service providers in a basket of countries.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Proficiency in excel (knowledge of pivot tables, advanced formulas, vlookup; VBA skills a plus)
  • Birst experience, or any other business intelligence or data visualization software experience a plus
  • Proficiency with rest of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks for multiple services simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively with industry experts about their market tracking and forecasting datasets and data needs
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, additional language a plus
