Principal Analyst: Internet of Things and Mobile Workforce Strategies

Strategy Analytics, a leading market research and insights company, has an exciting opportunity in our Enterprise Knowledge Center.

To support the rapid growth in our Internet of Things and Mobile Workforce research programs, we require a Senior Research Analyst who can contribute to the company’s growth and qualitative / quantitative insights delivered to global customers.

The role involves:

  • Research, forecasting, analysis and writing reports on key market issues in the transformation of the IoT and mobile enterprise markets;
  • Track and analyze service provider activities across the spectrum of IoT/workforce mobility initiatives.
  • Writing timely reports on market developments in the IoT market covering key market trends, vendors and vertical industries (e.g. healthcare, industrial, transportation etc.)
  • Updating and expanding existing forecasts on IoT devices, connections and revenues, as well as new topics that require forecasting with the development of the IoT market.
  • Supporting end user research surveys on the IoT market.
  • Responding swiftly to client inquiries and media requests.
  • Supporting Strategy Analytics’ business development and consulting efforts in the IoT market.
  • Partners with the marketing team to further SA's position in the space, to build a platform for showcasing our research, and to develop new research propositions based on intelligence gathered at events.

Desired Skills & Experience


  • 8+ years’ experience of the mobile market, either as an analyst or at a vendor or operator
  • Excellent English speaking & writing skills required;
  • A background working in IoT or as an analyst covering IoT and/or mobile enterprise preferred;
  • In depth understanding of research methods and the ability to provide high-quality and influential research content.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • An undergraduate degree in a business, economics, technology, engineering or mathematics related discipline.

You will also need:

  • Excellent written, numerical and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical approach;
  • Enthusiasm and initiative to work independently, at high speed, within the team;
  • The ability to work accurately and confidently with rapid turnaround times;
  • Ability to develop relationships with key global industry players;
  • Microsoft Word & PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required 

Location: This position can be virtual or hybrid with our main research offices in Singapore, Milton Keynes, UK and Boston, USA.
