We help clients evaluate markets, companies & technologies with consulting solutions and annual subscriptions as well as reports. IoT Strategies is an advisory service focusing on the digital transformation and business process revolution powered by connected devices and the growth in data analytics solutions. Exceptional writing, analytics, public speaking, and group dynamics skills are required. A Research Director in IoT should have in-depth knowledge of the technologies, vendors, policies and business requirements of the whole IoT ecosystem, including cellular and sensor networks to Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) networks, data analytics and security, predictive business intelligence, legal and regulatory concerns and other knowledge areas.

The position requires at least 10 years of experience (or equivalent) in helping service providers, software players, professional services companies expand their direct revenue from IoT.  The ideal candidate will be familiar with the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of OT and IT. You will have a demonstrated ability to separate hype from reality in terms of key decision variables and actual realized benefits to firms across a number of vertical markets., and a relevant B.S. degree; Masters preferred.

The successful candidate will lead our IoT research. Primary functions for this position are:
• Collaborate with the Director for Enterprise Research and our clients to develop a research strategy.
• Initiate and execute all aspects of end-user research studies. Methodologies include but are not limited to enterprise surveys, and in-depth interviews.
• Author reports to be published to our syndicated client base providing results, analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Create and manage IoT data forecasting models and research databases.
• Interface with clients to answer client inquiries, provide briefings, and promoting our research.
• Work with sales team to develop prospects and maintain and develop client relationships in calls, meetings and at major industry events.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have at least 10-15 years of experience in IoT or Big Data domain.
• Relevant B.S. degree but Masters preferred 
• Have extensive experience in conducting user research employing multiple methodologies.
• Be very well-networked with established relationships with leading global players.
• Have strong data analysis skills and experience with both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Possess superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Be proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Be highly motivated with the ability to thrive in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment; and to work independently as well as part of a diverse global team.
