Arleen Macaraeg-Denque, Vice President - SA Market Insights
Arleen is a global market research professional with over 20 years of experience conducting multi-country research to support businesses’ information needs. Her expertise is in the design and analysis of research supporting Front End Planning and New Product Development. She also consults for a number of Fortune 500 companies on a range of business issues related to branding, market opportunity assessment, targeting and in-market performance.
Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Arleen was Director of Research at Microsoft’s Central Marketing Group and led researchers who supported the Windows PC and Smartphone businesses. She worked with product planners and marketers to assess consumers’ acceptance of new product and service offerings, competitive and market assessments, and brand health trackers. Previous to this, she was with Motorola’s Mobile business for 8 years and led the new products and front end planning research team working on multi-country consumer immersion and ideation initiatives in support of Motorola’s innovation and product launch efforts.
Arleen’s previous custom research experience included several years of managing multi-country research for ACNielsen’s most important clients in Consumer Package Goods, Technology, Pharmaceutical, and Food industries.

Carlos Salazar-Velasquez, Vice President - SA Market Insights
Carlos leads CIP’s Modeling and Analytics. He has pioneered new research methodologies in the fields of choice modeling, segmentation, brand engagement, and trade-off analysis. He routinely collaborates with world-renowned experts in the field of econometrics and modeling and has a proven track record of innovation in research design and analysis. He has extensive experience in the design of large-scale, complex, multi-country research projects across industries ranging from automotive, CPG, and telecommunications.
As the former head of Motorola’s Consumer Insights Modeling and Analytics, Carlos consulted with senior executives on strategic business issues involving pricing, marketing, business partnerships, and market opportunity assessments. He previously worked at McKinsey. Carlos is a Ph.D. in Econometrics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Matt Hester, Senior Director - SA Market Insights
Matt is responsible for Strategy Analytics Consumer Insights business in Europe and is based in the UK office.
Matt has 20 years’ experience in Senior Insight roles, leading the design and delivery of a broad range of projects for a wide selection of clients in that time.
Before joining Strategy Analytics in 2017, he was a Senior Director at MetrixLab, a branding and communications research specialist, and also worked in Gartner’s Consulting division on a number of strategy-oriented technology engagements with a focus on IoT, CX and Cloud-based deployment. Prior to this, Matt was the Head of Nielsen’s Consumer Insights business in the UK, leading a team of researchers delivering client projects in segmentation, brand evaluation, retail optimisation and market dynamics in the Technology, FMCG and Financial Services sectors. Matt was also a Director at Ipsos MORI where he was responsible for Technology and Telecoms clients, working with major network operators, device manufacturers and digital brands delivering large scale global projects and tracking studies. He has also worked at technology and media consultancy Analysys Mason, the BBC and Telewest Broadband (now Virgin Media).
