It is estimated that the combined handset and smartphone market shares of those local vendors went above 50% of total Philippines handset and smartphone market during the quarter, and it might be worth noting that Cherry Mobile, the leading local vendor among all, captured the top spots in both handset and smartphone ranking in its home country, based on the localized services, affordable prices cusomized for the cost-conscious consumers, strong grip over the local distributional channels and the good build quality.
