The resulting entity will be ideally structured to isolate riskier strategic moonshots from core ad-driven shareholder value. "Alphabet" can more aggressively pursue its lofty ambitions in automotive, smart-home and as an access-provider.

On the healthcare front, medical-grade wearables like the GoogleX healthband and Google's patented approach to blood monitoring (illustrated below) will see paths to more rapid growth opened up, and will no longer be weighed down by a short-term investment focus.
