Titan, the leading watch maker in India has partnered with Hewlett Packard to launch its first Smartwatch, JUXT. The Smartwatch is OS neutral, getting paired with Android and iOS and would come in three variants –Titanium, Stainless Steel and Rose Gold. The device variants to be available via both offline and online channels are priced (wholesale) between US$ 195 - US$ 245. The Juxt Smartwatch will initially be launched in India followed by US, UK and Canada with availability in five more countries, by the end of 2016.
Titan has timed its entry in the Indian Smartwatch market, as it begins to take shape with Apple, Samsung and Motorola among the key global players, establishing a presence here. Our latest estimates from Wireless Device Ecosystem (WDE) Services ranks India as the third largest smartwatch market by sales in 2016.
