4G Smartwatches Jump 28%

Global 2G / 3G / 4G smartwatch shipments jumped a healthy +28% in 2020.

Consumers like the standalone nature of cellular smartwatches -- no smartphone needed. However, consumers dislike their higher pricing and faster battery consumption.

Apple Watch and Samsung continue to lead, but a wave of lower-cost Chinese entrants, like Xiaomi, is pouring into the market.
