OPPO is Facing Uphill Journey Ahead in Q3 2022

OPPO (including OnePlus)’s smartphone shipments dropped -20% YoY in Q3 2022. It is the 4th quarter in a row that the vendor posted annual decline.

OPPO is facing strong headwinds and major challenges. OPPO/OnePlus integration failed to generate synergy as expected. Meanwhile, OPPO’s brand uplift efforts have not yet bear fruits either. Moreover, OPPO is suffering from the downturn pressure in home market and struggling with the ongoing patent litigation with Nokia in overseas markets.

OPPO is facing an uphill journey ahead. 2022 is a challenging year for OPPO.
