Lenovo-Motorola Registered Highest Ever ASP in the Last 8 Years

by Abhilash Kumar | Aug 15, 2022

According to latest research, Lenovo-Motorola remained flat annually in Q2 2022. We believe its quite a descent relative performance from the Lenovo since the global market  declined -7% YoY and most of the major Chinese smartphone OEMs declined in double digits this quarter on an annual basis.

The best thing which happened for Lenovo-Motorola was the ASP growth. Lenovo-Motorola reached its highest ever ASP since 2014 and this has led revenue to grow +22% YoY for the quarter. Greater mix of higher-priced G series and highly priced Edge series mainly drove up the ASP growth this quarter. Also, the impressive growth in 5G shipment from the vendor helped to up the ASP game. The brand remained profitable for seven consecutive quarters in a row.
