OPPO and OnePlus completed the full integration last quarter. Their combined shipments (34.2 million units) dropped -11% YoY in Q4 2021, blaming to the weak performance in China and India, the vendor’s two largest single markets.
OPPO brand made solid progress in geographic diversification this quarter and posted robust growth in most of its new overseas markets. Moreover, the vendor debuted its first foldable device this quarter and its newly launched Reno 7 series are well-received among domestic consumers.
Despite of progress and efforts, headwinds and challenges remain. OPPO’s gain in new overseas market cannot offset its loss in China and India where the vendor is encountering intensified competitions.
