According to latest research from Strategy Analytics, the global legitimate handset and smartphone sales will grow +3% YoY and +6% YoY respectively in 2022. The smartphone unit sales growth trajectory will continue but the growth rate will keep on decreasing to low single digit till 2026. We believe the feature phone sales to continue declining 2022 onwards given the smartphones becoming more affordable with time, hence feature phone users will be upgrading to smartphones.

Asia Pacific will remain by far the world's largest region. The "Big Five" countries globally will be China, India, the United States, Brazil, and Indonesia by 2026. Emerging markets are outgrowing developed markets.
