Global Smartphone Revenues to Grow 21% YoY in 2021

by Abhilash Kumar | Sep 24, 2021

The global smartphone wholesale revenues will increase +21% YoY in 2021 as predicted by Strategy Analytics. As the market grows over the next five years, global revenues will keep posting positive growth mainly driven by the higher ASP, replacement sales in higher tier segments, and hardware innovations (flexible display etc.), as well as migration towards 5G. However, we expect global smartphone wholesale revenue would start to slightly head/remain flat down in 2026.

We estimate Japan and South Korea to deliver the highest ASPs in the forecast period which is more than twice the global average while parts of Asia Pacific and Africa to deliver the lowest ASPs. Disposable income in the countries drives this trend.

This extensive report forecasts smartphone wholesale ASPs and revenues for 88 countries worldwide from 2012 to 2026. This data model is a valuable tool for device vendors, operators, component manufacturers, software developers, financial analysts, car makers and other stakeholders who want to size the mobile phone market by revenue and price for dozens of countries and regions.

Below is a teaser chart to show the ASP trend of 3 largest smartphone markets in the world and its benchmarking with respect to global ASP.
