Central Eastern Europe Smartphones: Xiaomi is less than 2 value share points behind Huawei in Q1 2020.

Central and Eastern Europe: Smartphone Wholesale trade revenues grew by 5% YoY

Wholesale trade revenues grew by 5% YoY to US$ 4.6 billion in Q1 2020. Samsung followed by Apple led by revenue share and together captured more than half of the total revenues in the region. Huawei, Xiaomi were ranked third, fourth respectively. Xiaomi is less than value 2 share points behind Huawei in Q1 2020.  Wholesale Average Selling price in the region grew to by 5% to US$ 216 in Q1 2020.

The region continues to hold the lowest volume share globally compared to the other five regions tracked by SA.  Smartphone shipments to the region marginally declined by 0.5% YoY in the quarter. Samsung leads the market with over 30% share while Xiaomi is within 0.5 volume share points of Huawei.

The Central and Eastern Europe market has a growing list of vendors participating and competition will be intense as the chasing pack look to gain ground on third placed Apple.
