Their joint market share however will slightly slip since 2019 and we forecast a grand new smartphone OS -- most probably from China -- will likely emerge from roughly 2019 onwards. The other beneficiaries of Android and Apple iOS's slight decline is Tizen, whose popularity would grow slightly over time, along with their extended penetration across multiple price-tiers, across regions, and in other device form factors.
