Samsung Genetrated 61% Profit Share of Android Smartphones in Q4 2016

According to the latest report from our Wireless Smartphone Strategies (WSS) services: Value Share: Global Smartphone Revenue, ASP and Profit by OS by Price-Tier : Q4 2016, global smartphone wholesale revenue grew +9% YoY. iOS and Android combined took almost all smartphone profit share because all other platforms are losing money.

Among Android camp, Samsung alone generated 61% profit share this quarter, down from 67% one year ago. Chinese vendors vivo, OPPO, Huawei and Xiaomi ranked in top 5 list following Samsung.
