Smartphone Inventory Risk is Rising in Q4 2016

by Linda Sui | Dec 01, 2016

According to the latest report from our Wireless Smartphone Strategies (WSS) services : Global Smartphone Monthly Shipments (Sell in) and Sales (Sell Through) by Vendor : November 2016, global smartphone inventory level is rising during Q4 2016, especially for some Chinese vendors that scaled up shipment volumes significantly this year, mainly including Huawei, OPPO and vivo etc. We caution these OEMs to carefully manage inventory risks, especially on low end segments.

This report tracks global smartphone monthly shipments (sell in) and sales (sell through) by 21 of the world's largest vendors from January to October 2016. The report is a valuable tool for component makers, software developers, operators and other stakeholders to support their planning activities.
