Apple Dominated the UK's Best-Selling Smartphone Models in Q4 2017

by Juha Winter | Feb 20, 2018

Apple took the top spot as far as popular smartphone models go in most Western markets during the holiday season and more often than not, the whole of the fourth quarter of 2017. The United Kingdom was no exception in this respect. The UK is a smartphone market that largely dominated by just Apple and Samsung, the vendor duo taking two thirds of the market in terms of shipments, and even a much larger share in terms of revenue. In Q4 2017, Apple had three iPhone models right at the top the list of the best-selling smartphones, and it’s no surprise that the all-new iPhone X was one of them.

Looking at the top-10 only, Apple had even more models there than just three, although Samsung was still quite successful with its Galaxy S8 and Note 8, in particular. But at least one model from Huawei also made it to list – find out which from the latest research published by Strategy Analytics’ Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) service: United Kingdom : Smartphone Shipments & Marketshare by Model: Q4 2017. In that report, you can find the shipments and market share for the top-50 models sold in the UK. Wholesale prices, revenue, and value share per model are also available.

Clients of our SMT services can find the report here.
