In the second quarter of 2017, Xiaomi again captured the top spot on the list of best-selling smartphones in India. This time, the fast-growing Chinese company also captured the no.3 and no.6 spots, making for a very strong presence in the top-10. In Q1, however, Xiaomi had one device more on the top-10 list, and one device was also different from the Q2 ones. Now, the older Redmi 3S Prime and the Redmi 3S have given way to the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4, while the Redmi 4A continues its strong sales performance, according to recent research by our Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) service.
What’s more dramatic is that several models particularly from Vivo but also from Oppo are now within striking distance of the top of the list, and the top-5..20 models in particular are heavily populated by these brands.
