Following Apple’s recent announcement for the iPhone SE (2022) the TRAX AI Smartphone Retail Price Predictor algorithms have been at work:

Actual prices and device specifications have been collated, analysed and future retail prices predicted. As is usual for iPhones retail price erosion will be tightly controlled in the first year.
Of interest is the retail price based on Apple’s premium brand position and SE’s spec list. Inclusion of the A15 Bionic chipset has a significant influence on retail value but omitting 5G mmWave (in any variant) is a change in tack. In fact, the US version of iPSE (2022) entered the market 15 USD below TRAX AI’s predicted price:

Prices are shown in USD including sales tax for consumer purchase of standalone iPhone SE (2022) 64GB from major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart and BestBuy.
The TRAX AI Price Prediction algorithms have generated future retail, refurbished and trade-in prices for Samsung’s Galaxy S22 family, Nokia, Motorola, Xiaomi and more.
Trade-in smartphone value is of particular interest to Network Operators offering early or annual device upgrades. From the predictions it’s clear that iPhone SE will retain value with little change in trade-in price over the first year of availability.
TRAX AI Smartphone Price Predictions use millions of historic price points, historic brand performance and device specifications to power machine learning algorithms that forecast:
• future retail price
• refurbished device price
• trade-in values
Predictions are made for the individual smartphone variants i.e. 128GB, 256GB, 512GB versions in over 20 countries for more than 40 brands and update daily.
